Our Financial Policy
Our Financial Policy
It is our practice policy to: Inform before we perform – no surprises!
Thus where ever possible we will discuss fees with you prior to undertaking treatment. Emergency treatment is difficult to quote before appointments. Emergency appointments are also costly to the practice so this is another reason we suggest you maintain your mouth with regular dental examinations and professional cleanings.
For your first appointment reception staff will give you an estimate of the likely appointment cost. Not knowing exactly what treatment is required it may be necessary to give you a fee range.
Concerns About Treatment
If you have any concerns regarding your dental treatment or payment of your account, please discuss them with us at your earliest convenience. Early communication is the best way to avoid disputes down the track.
Payment At The Time of Treatment
At the end of your appointment you will be provided with a fully itemised account. We require payment in full at that time.
Convenient Payment Methods
We accept personal cheques, Mastercard and Visa as well as providing an EFTPOS facility for Direct Debits. By the way, we also happily accept cash! We also offer the personal credit facility of GE MONEY. This an on the spot, internet application, so after you receive your treatment plan we can help you arrange finance so we can allocate appointments on the same day to help you on the way to your dream smile.
Health Fund refunds on the spot – HICAPS
We have an electronic Health Fund claim service for you. If your health fund is “on line” you will be able to claim your refund immediately in most circumstances.
All you will need to pay is the gap.
Remember though, refund approvals are the responsibility of your health fund. As your dentist we have no direct relationship with your fund. The relationship is between you and your health fund. If you are unhappy with your refund or your claim is rejected, it is a matter you will have to discuss with your health fund.
Please choose your appointment times carefully, as last minute cancellations are a major inconvenience, not only to staff but to existing clients as well. We would like a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, if you need to reschedule, so we may allocate this time for a patient, who is in need of our services with one of our highly experienced, well sought after dentists. To show your commitment to creating your beautiful new smile we ask that you leave a non-refundable deposit for your next appointment.
